If only cries could come from those eyes

Everybody makes mistakes, whether it is giving your customer a double shot latte instead of decaf (a friend of mine calls this, “Population Control”) or spilling the milk and not knowing how to clean it up. But this is one thing that you can’t get wrong. If you haven’t heard about this product yet, you must have been living under a rock the size of a small planet. Urban Decay’s Naked Palette is perhaps the most popular and lusted after product since its launch. Ask any girl (or guy) who is educated in makeup and they will tell you the exact same thing. This palette is a GOD. It is pricey, as it retails for $48 US at Sephora, and MUCH MUCH more on Ebay if you don’t have a retailer in your country. But I must stress that these colours are an investment. You know you’ve jumped on the bandwagon late when your palette has a brush instead of the clever duo 24/7 liner in “Whiskey” and “Zero” , but that aside Urban Decay has continued to be generous in including a sample size of their most famous (bar the Naked Palette) Primer Potion, which once you’ve tried, you’ll never use eyeshadow without.

All 12 shades are compatible with all skin tones and with these, you could basically go without your other shadows, if neutral and dark smokeys are your go-to looks. There are 2 matte shades, “Naked” and “Buck” which, if you have lighter brows can double as eyebrow definers. “Virgin” and “Sin”, the frosty champagne and shimmery pink are perfect brow highlight and inner corner colours. The rest of the colours are beautiful muted, rich colours which can be built upon to create intense smokeys or used lightly for a wash of colour. “Creep” is by far my favourite, a glittery black that I like to powder my eyeliner with to give that extra sparkle and point of interest to my eyes. And of course if you’re brave enough it will make for a stunning intense smokey.

Of course, there are many companies out there who are trying to match up to the Naked Palette. Some offer an even larger palette with more variety in colours, and are retailed at a much lower price. But somehow they can never be as good as the Naked Palette, something about this collection is magical. But when one does surpass this godsend, you’ll be the first to know.

Why are you still reading this, go forth and INVEST.
